The European leading robotics and autonomous systems developer Milrem Robotics is to develop a new Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) named THeMIS Observe. THeMIS Observe UGV have advanced multi-sensor intelligence-gathering capabilities. Their main purpose is to increase situational awareness and provide improved intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance over wide areas and battle damage assessment capability.
The system can effectively enhance the work of dismounted infantry units, border guard and law enforcement agencies to collect and process raw information and decrease the reaction time for commanders.
Milrem Robotics is the European leading robotics and autonomous systems developer and systems integrator with offices in Estonia, Sweden, Finland and shortly in the Netherlands. The company leads the iMUGS Consortium that was awarded 30,6 MEUR from the European Commission’s European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) to develop a European standardized unmanned ground system (UGS). The iMUGS project was launched in 2020 to develop a modular, cyber secure and scalable architecture for hybrid manned-unmanned systems. Its goal is to standardize a Europe-wide ecosystem for ground platforms, command, control and communication equipment, sensors, payloads, and algorithms.
